OBITUARY Mount Airy

CLAUDVILLE, VA

Mr. Kenneth Millard Ayers, 70, of 318 Stateline Road, Claudville, VA, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his home. He was born April 23, 1939 in Patrick County, VA to Carrie Edith Gates Ayers & the late Joseph Millard Ayers. Mr. Ayers was a retired lineman & of the Methodist Faith. He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Rogers Ayers of the Home; daughters & sons-in-law: Rhonda & Teddy Martin; Stuart, VA & Debbie & Dale Robertson; Stuart, VA; son: Wade (Chuck) Ayers; Mount Airy, NC; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; special sister-in-law: Helen Ayers; Mount Airy, NC; several nieces & nephews and special friends: Willie & Lynn Keith. In addition to his father, Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his son, Roger Ayers; an infant daughter and brothers, Edwin, Jimmy, Bruce & Roger Ayers. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Howell Funeral Chapel of Mount Airy, conducted by Rev. Joseph Easter with interment to follow in the Hunters Chapel Cemetery, Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 21, from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service.
